Minutes of the Newhaven Branch Meeting

held at the Labour Club on Sun Oct 6th 1953

.

Meeting was called premarily to discus payment suspension benefit to Bro. W. Ware, his position was explained also the result of his appeal which was unsuccessful. The following minute was then proposed .

Proposed by Bro. E. Hillman and seconded by Bro J. Bowden. 'In view of the fact that our member appeal against  two suspension for passing Signal V.C. 200 at danger through an error of judgement are so still suffers a feeling of injustice this meeting propose that our member be paid paid suspension benefit according to rule.' (Carried)

Outline of proposed pension scheme was also dealt with payments to be received this death benefits.

Correspondence was read and other items discussed.
