The Social club held two events each year, one being for the retired drivers dinner and dance. 

Whereby the committee members and their wives would organised the event that was held in 

the Drill Hall on Dyke Road Brighton.

The other event was the children Christmas party held at Moulsecoomb Hall. Every year Reg 

Jarrett would dress up as Father Christmas. For many children of that era, the children 

believed that Father Christmas come from Devon rather than the North Pole!!!
